Clara M. D’Elia–5/12/2020

Clara M. D’Elia (nee Crescenza), 95, of Ambler, Pa., died May 12, 2020 at Elm Terrace Gardens, Lansdale, Pa.

The daughter of Albert and Mary D’Elia, she was born September 1, 1924, in Ambler, Pa. She attended Ambler High School.

She was married to Edward W. Zackiewicz, of Ambler in 1948 and to C. Norman Tourtellott, of Florida, in 1970.

She worked at the Naval Air Station, Johnstown, Pa., Honeywell, and Merck Sharp and Dhome, where she earned the Pride and Quality Award.

She is survived by her children: Earl Francis and Christine Henion, Rocco and Yvonne Edivan, Adele Brooks, and John and Carol Dutchman; Grandchildren: Aaron and Heather Nicholas, Mark and Sandra Snyder, Matthew and Jessica Nicholas, Benjamin and Samantha Nicholas, John C. and Stephanie Holtzapple, Christopher and Nicole Holtzapple, Alex Holtzapple, Jessica Holtzapple, Ryan and Althea Henion and Great Grandchildren: Rowan Nicholas, Sebastian Nicholas, Stella Snyder, Jack Snyder, Zori Nicholas, John C. Holtzapple VII, Samuel Holtzapple, Zachary Holtzapple, Abel Holtzapple and Ariel Holtzapple, Ethan Henion, Athena Henion. She is also survived by a sister, Mary (Joseph) Ridgeway and a sister-in-law, Franny D’Elia and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to both husbands, she is predeceased by Brothers – Michael (Micky) D’Elia, Anthony D’Elia, Albert D’Elia (Birdie), and Mario (Philomena) D’Elia; Sisters: Jennie (Philip) Baldassari, Eva (Anthony) Bevilaqua, Florence ( Alfonso) Castagno and Son In Laws: John C Holtzapple III and Barry L. Brooks.

Service and burial arrangements are pending.
