David Paul Greger–6/1/2020

David Paul Greger, 81, of North Wales, Pa., passed away on Monday, June 1, 2020, at the Madyln and Leonard Abramson Center for Jewish Life in Horsham, PA.

David was born in Lansdale, Pa., on September 5, 1938. He was a life-long resident of the Lansdale/North Wales area.

He was the son of the late Garfield Greger and Florence Swartley Greger.

He was a graduate of Norristown High School.

David was a Purveyor of topsoil, mulch, and speciality mixes for beds. He was the owner of Greger Topsoil and well known among his peers and customers for the hilarious messages he would leave on his business phone. He had an amazing sense of humor and loved to tell outrageous stories that most would believe. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing Dushore and Jamaica. He spent twenty-five Februarys in Jamaica basking in the winter sun with good friends. He enjoyed travel and adventure. David loved antique cars and had fully restored his father’s 1940 Ford.

David was a member of Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church in North Wales, the Dushore Lions club and the Susquehannock Region Antique Automobile Club of America.

David was married to Susan Hornstein Darrow in 2005 in Bryn Mawr PA. He and Susan split their time between North Wales and Dushore, PA and Nashville, TN.

Surviving are his wife, Susan Hornstein Darrow. His son, Mark Greger and Mark’s wife, Judy; grandsons, Matthew and Adam Greger; great grandchildren, Addison Greger, Lillian Greger, Isabella Greger, Jackson Greger and Emily Greger. He was predeceased by his son, David Paul Greger.

David was a kind, generous and funny man. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him!

  2. Poppop! We miss you. You would only believe the stories that started to come to my mind and all the memories from over the years. Im sure your walking that Dushore property in the sky thinking about your next project. Until we see each other again rest easy.
