Gordon Wayne Clark 
12-30-1938 – 11-23-2023

Gordon Wayne Clark, a loving husband and father from Colmar, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 23, 2023.

He was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and spent his childhood in Wessington, South Dakota. His parents were Margaret Fern Sutton-Clark and Floyd Glen Clark.
He joined the United States Army in October of 1958 and served in Germany for two years until his honorable discharge in March of 1961.

He moved to Phoenix, Arizona, and worked for Motorola for three decades. 

He married Patricia Arlene Schafer, whom he met at Motorola, and they had two children. In 1981, he transferred to Pennsylvania with Motorola and lived in Colmar until his passing.

He is survived by his daughter, Tracy Clark-Lockard; son-in-law, Jason Lockard, of Colmar, Pennsylvania, and his sister, Penelope O’Connell, of Portland, Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Arlene Schafer-Clark, his son Troy Clark, and his sister Nancy Erickson-Stanton of Columbus, Ohio.

His funeral service will be held on December 7, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Ave. Newtown, PA 18940, with Military Honors. Per Cemetery rules please arrive at Washington Crossing National Cemetery no later than 1:30 PM to attend the 2 PM Service.   

There will be a viewing earlier on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main St, Lansdale, PA 19446 from 11 to 11:45 AM. The procession to the Cemetery will leave the Funeral Home no later than 12 Noon.

  2. Mr Clark was the kindest person….such a loving father and husband!!! I feel so privileged to have known him for almost 40 years , as his daughter is one of my best friends ❤️…he will be missed by all….I am glad he is at peace with his wife and son now …
