Barbara A. Vesay–10/25/2023

Barbara A. Vesay (maiden Hainley) of North Wales, Pa., passed away peacefully at home on October 25, 2023 at the age of 80, after a battle with cancer. 

She is survived by her loving husband Charles (Chuck), North Wales, Pa., and her children and their families: Andrew (wife Sandy, granddaughter Charley, 10), Marmora, NJ; Daniel (wife Michelle, grandson Colby 9), North Wales, Pa.; Patrick (wife Cindy, grandson Gavin, 16, granddaughters, Brooke, 14, and Isabella ,9), Yardley, Pa., and Carla (husband Mikey, grandson Andrew, 14), Baltimore, Md.; as well as her sisters Madeline, Houston, Tex.; Betty, Lanesville, Ind, and Judy, Lititz, Pa. and their respective families. 

Born February 7, 1943, in Middle River, Md., to Laton and Madeline Hainley, Barbara grew up in Schuylkill Haven, Pa., and met Charles Vesay of neighboring Pottsville, Pa.  Married in 1964, Barbara and Chuck spent 59 loving years together, residing in the Lansdale/North Wales/Montgomeryville, Pa. area most of their adult lives, with additional time living in Elizabethtown, Pa., Bel Air, Md., and Baltimore, Md., before returning to the North Wales area 7 years ago. 

Barbara graduated from Goldie Beacom College with an Associate’s Degree, and worked as a Secretary and Administrative Assistant at DuPont, the Montgomery Township Administrative Office, and MMBB financial services, among others. Her most meaningful work, though, was as a stay-at-home mom, raising her 4 children, followed by her immense joy being a grandmother to her 6 grandchildren. 

A devout member of the Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Parish in North Wales, PA, Barbara will be missed deeply by her family, friends, and all the people she gave of her time and energy to help along the way.            

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Barbara’s Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 11:00 AM at, Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, 1325 Upper State Rd., North Wales, (Montgomery Twp.) PA 19454, where her family will receive friends, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM, in the Church Narthex, prior to Mass. Interment at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, following Mass.

    Our hearts are broken for you and your family. Some of our favorite memories include Ms. Barbara. I’m grateful for our time together fishing at the beach this summer.
