Noreen Klose—10/10/2022

Noreen Klose, 71 of Lansdale passed away on 10/10/22.

She was born July 24, 1951 in Philadelphia the eldest of three children. Her father was a career Marine, so Noreen lived in many different parts of the country growing up including PA, CA, SC, TN & HI. She graduated from St Maria Goretti high school in South Philadelphia. 

Noreen served her country in the Air Force as a clerk during the Vietnam era. She met her husband, Steven while working at Narco Avionics in Ft Washington and they were married November 7, 1980. A few years later, they had a son, Edward. Despite suffering a severe stroke soon after her son’s birth, she lived her life to the fullest. 

She volunteered for many years assisting in the St Stanislaus Elementary (Mater Dei) computer lab in addition to numerous other events and class related outings. She was an avid reader, particularly of the sci fi and fantasy genre. She was a technophile, loved animals, especially cats & birds.  She also enjoyed watching sci fi & mystery tv shows and movies and pretty much anything on the BBC network. She was also a follower of current events and politics in the news. 

She is survived by her husband, Steven, her son Edward and her 2 younger siblings Walter & Claire.

Relatives and friends are invited to a small gathering on Monday, October 17, 2022, at the Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main St., Lansdale, PA 19446. There will be a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, followed by a Service at 10:30 AM. Interment St. John Neumann Cemetery.

  1. Am very sorry to learn (today–12/22/22) of Noreen’s passing. She was a valued member of The Orb, fans of the Breaking Cat News comic on GoComics; Noreen will be missed by our community. Many condolences to her family.
