Magherita “Margie” Maria DiLeo formerly of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully at Gwynedd Square nursing center on July 31st.

She was born on December 23, 1914 to Domenic Scarpitti and Michelina Conte. To all who knew her, she was a unique and caring individual who touched the lives of many.

Margie was preceded by her husband Vincenzo James DiLeo and daughter Carol Ann McCann. She survived by her 4 grandchildren Terry, Michelina, Stephen and Christina and 7 great grandchildren Mila, Elise, Sophia, Bryn, Henry, Carl and Heather.

To Margie, family was the core of who she was. Everyone else came first. Every Sunday she would cook breakfast and dinner for the family. You would always find something cooking on the stove – to her food was love. We will always cherish her and celebrate her wonderful years with us.

A service for the family will be held at Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home on Thursday, August 3rd, followed by the internment at Holy Sepulchre.
