Ruth M Albrecht, age 96, died peacefully March 4, 2017 in her room in Meadowood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Lawrence Albrecht, who died June 9, 1983. She and Larry were married for 42 years.

Ruth was an exemplary Army wife in supporting her husband in the various assignments, joining with her fellow officers’ wives and, frequently, being a mentor for them.

She is survived by her sons Dr James Albrecht (Carol) of Lansdale and Thomas of California, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to Army Emergency Relief, Attn: Donations, 2530 Crystal Dr, Suite 13161, Arlington VA 22202.
