Anita R. Zurauskas—12/3/13

Anita R. Zurauskas, age 90, formerly of Horsham for over 40 years died Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at St. Mary Manor.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank A. Zurauskas who died in April of 2001.

Born and raised in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Albert and Anna (DiPuppo) Calvitti.  Before settling in Horsham she had lived in Glenside and Roslyn.

Mrs. Zurauskas was a founding member of Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Parish in North Wales (Montgomery Twp.).  She had quite a green thumb and enjoyed gardening in her greenhouse that her husband built for her.  Mrs. Zurauskas produced beautiful ceramics which she made using her own kiln.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Diane A. Barker and her husband Robert of Lower Gwynedd, a grandson, Eric Brough of Lansdale, a great granddaughter, Leah Brough of Lansdale as well as her sister-in-law Hilda Calvitti (wife of Joseph).  In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Joseph, Edmund and Angelo Calvitti.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church, 1325 Upper State Rd, North Wales, PA. 19454 (in Montgomery Twp.), where the family will receive friends from 9 to 10 AM before Mass.

Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham. For those desiring in lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Anita’s name to Salesian Missions, 2 Lefevre Lane, New Rochelle, NY 10801 or at www.salesianmissions.org. Arrangements are by Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home in Lansdale.
