James C. Shaw, II

James C. Shaw, II, age 79, of North Wales died November 24th at St. Mary Manor in Lansdale.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph S. and Helen Donnelly Shaw.

Mr. Shaw served in the US Army in Korea during the Korean War with the 523 Military Police Company.

He worked in sales as an estimator of moving cost with United Van Lines and Atlas Van Lines and later was executive secretary with the hazardous transportation unit of the Department of Transportation.

Mr. Shaw active in politics and served as a Democratic State Committee man. He also loved and was proud of his Irish heritage and was a huge fan of Notre Dame University especially its football team.

He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Upper Gwynedd.

Surviving his his beloved wife of 50 years Mary Agnes Kauflie Shaw, his daughters Margaret Stackhouse and her husband Roger of Royersford and Jacqueline Howenstein and her husband Joseph of Harleysville and his sons Edward Mininger and his wife Karen of Douglasville and James C. Shaw, III and his wife Sheri of Warners Robins, GA; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and his brothers Joseph Shaw of Ambler and Matthew Shaw of Allentown.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Linda Brown in 1983 and a brother Thomas Shaw.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Friday December 2nd at 11AM in the Chapel at Saint Mary Manor, 701 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA. 19446 where the family will receive friends Friday from 10 to 11AM. Interment will be private. For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim’s name to Saint Mary Manor (address above) would be preferred.
