William J. Campbell (Bill)–4/19/2024

William J. Campbell (Bill) passed away April 19, 2024, at the age of 60, at West Reading Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Reading, PA.

He was the son of Willard L. Campbell (Ohio) and Anita P. Campbell-Lee, and stepson to Dion M. Lee of Lansdale, PA.

Bill was born in Abington, PA, and lived with his sister and mother for a time in Cambridge, MA. When the family returned to Pennsylvania, they settled in Glenside and Bill attended Bishop McDevitt High School, Glenside, PA.

As a young man Bill worked in landscaping, something that would lead him into a love of gardening which he enjoyed for the rest of his life.

He was also an avid fisherman and loved camping with his friends. Though he lived for a time in Texas, Bill was a true Philadelphia Eagles fan.

When Bill met his dear wife Celia, they moved to her hometown of San Antonio, TX. Where he worked for Toyota Company. Sadly, in February of 2014 his wife, Celia, passed away. Bill, devastated, left San Antonio and returned to Pennsylvania to reside in Lansdale, PA. He told his family how much he missed Celia every day.

Bill is survived by his mother, Anita Campbell-Lee, his stepfather, Dion Lee of Lansdale, PA, his biological father, Willard Campbell, his sister, Mary C. Copeland, his brother-in-law, Christopher Copeland of Lansdale, PA, his aunt, Linda Newingham of Basking Ridge, NJ, and many cousins, and dear friends.

Arrangements are private at the convenience of the family.

You were one of the truest friends I have ever known. So many good times I can’t even count. You will be sorely missed by me and everyone. I will see you on the other side, brother. I Love you, Man.
