Paul Wayne Hostetler–12/17/2023

Our beloved father and grandfather Paul Wayne Hostetler (of Warminster, PA) passed away peacefully on December 17, 2023, at the age of 91.

He is survived by sons Brian Hostetler of Lansdale, PA and Doulgas (and Eileen) Hostetler of Strasburg, PA and three grandchildren Jacob Hostetler of Sierra Madre, CA, Joshua Hostetler of New York, NY, and Margaret (Maggie) Hostetler of Strasburg, PA.

He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Hostetler of Warminster, PA and a daughter-in-law Carol Danko of Lansdale, PA

Born in Johnstown, PA on December 2, 1932, he was the son of John and Leah (Webreck) Hostetler.

He was the youngest of six children and was preceded in death by both parents and siblings Robert, Ernie, Mary, Margaret, and Esther.

Mr. Hostetler was a graduate of Ferndale High School in Johnstown, PA and upon graduation entered and served in the U.S. Army from 1952-53.

Upon his discharge he entered and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, class of 57.

He then met and married his beloved wife Margaret (Margie) Kokoruda (also of Johnstown, PA) on June 27, 1959, and together raised two sons.

He worked for the F.W. Woolworth company for 27 years and then another 10 years at Shelly & Fenstermacher Co. in Perkasie, PA. Paul had a passion for woodworking and became an avid builder of bird, butterfly, and bat houses.

Upon his retirement he would routinely be seen at Rice’s Market on Saturdays selling his wood creations, a past time he enjoyed immensely.

We will miss him dearly.

A service is planned at Fort Indiantown Gap in early 2024.

  1. So sorry for your loss. I never met Paul but I know his son Doug and can say he raised an outstanding son. It is said we live through our children and to that end Paul did a fine job. May Gods grace and mercy shine on Paul.
