Dolores “Dee” Yemola–9/26/2022

Dolores “Dee” Yemola, 87, of Lansdale, PA, passed away at Jefferson Lansdale Hospital on Monday, September 26, 2022.

She was born March 8, 1935, in Shenandoah, PA, to parents Anthony and Mildred (Polumbo) Pancerella. Dolores married Joseph S. Yemola on November 8, 1959 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Shenandoah. Dolores and Joe lived in Reading, PA during the early years of their marriage before moving to Lansdale in 1963. They had two children, Lou Ann Yemola (Tom McGuire) and Joseph A. Yemola (Marci Yemola).

Dolores enjoyed cooking and couponing, entertaining with family and friends, doting on her beloved granddaughters, Nadia and Mila Yemola, and spoiling her grand-dog, Kona. Dolores was well known for her cooking and making everyone feel welcome and comfortable in her home. Never did one leave her home hungry or empty-handed. She will be remembered by many for her kindness, patience, and a gift for comforting others with a simple smile, loving words, and a warm embrace.

In addition to her husband, children and grandchildren, she is survived by her brother, Mauro “Butchie” Pancerella and his wife, Barbara, numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and dear friends.

Friends and family are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA at 10:30am. Visitation will precede the Funeral Mass beginning at 9:30am.

Private burial at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, PA will occur at a later date.

  1. Dolores was a woman who welcomed everyone into her home and made them feel like family. She was a kind woman, who along with her husband Joe, were two of the most gentle souls I have ever met. They raised two remarkable children who exhibited many of the same traits.
I feel extremely privileged to have known her. Rest in peace, Dolores!
