Josephine Giuliano—12/11/2021

Josephine Giuliano, a lifelong resident of Lansdale PA and recently Elm Terrace Gardens, died December 11, 2021.  She was the daughter of Gerardo and Pellegrina (nee Santoro) Giuliano born April 19, 1925.

Josephine enjoyed her work life at Lansdale Tube, Philco Ford. She retired from the Gas Springs Division of Teleflex that sent her to Sarasota, FL, to help establish a plant there. She retired again more recently from working the cafeteria line at ETG.

A lifetime parishioner, participant, and ardent supporter of St. Stanislaus Church, she was actively engaged in the lives of her family, including siblings, and scores of first, grand, and great-grand nieces and nephews.

Besides cooking and baking for herself and others, Josephine enjoyed learning anything and everything and visiting many places doing that. Her travels took her to the beaches of New Jersey, the Colorado Mountains, Nevada Desert, California warmth, Florida sun, and numerous graduation venues, including many in New England and one in South Bend, Indiana. In addition, she enjoyed Broadway Plays and Symphony Orchestras from NY to New England, Philadelphia, Lancaster, PA, or anywhere a bus tour struck her fancy. She said Hawaii was near the top of her list of favorites, but described her trip to Rome, Southern Italy, and Sicily in 1998 as her highlight.

Ms. Giuliano is survived by her sister Gilda (Jill), a resident at Elm Terrace Gardens, and her brother, Jerry, from Wakefield, MA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Nicola (Nick) and Luigi (Lou).

There will be a private viewing at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Avenue

  1. If a photograph could ever capture the essence of an individual it’s this picture of Josie. Tiny woman , huge incredible, delightful personality . You will be missed. Joe and Cecelia Guiliano

  2. Loved my Aunt Jo so much. The kindest sweetest lady ever. A fond memory I have of when she was maybe 75 or 80 years old and still playing baseball and running around with us. Always the adventurer and will be missed so much.

  3. Aunt Josie (“Jo Jo White”) was an amazing woman. Her smile lit up the room. Her laughter was infectious. She was a great cook, baker, sister, aunt (Great Aunt to me & Great Great Aunt to my boys), friend… the list goes on. Her heart was enormous. She truly did make such an impact on all who knew her. She will forever be remembered by all whose lives she touched.

  4. I have many fond memories of Josie. She always had a smile on her face and was a joy to those who knew her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. Fondly. Judy Beggs Baumgartner.

  5. I was very sorry to hear of Josie’s passing. She was a sweet person and fun person to be around. Since I shall be out of town next Saturday I cannot attend her funeral or mass. I feel bad about that but nothing I can do.
My siblings both do not live in Pa anymore.
You will be in prayers and thoughts at this time.
Take care and may God give you all strength.
    Love, Phyllis Rausch
