Francis Norrett—2/19/2021

Francis (Fran) A. Norrett peacefully passed away on Friday February 19, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Fran was born in Philadelphia and was the son of the late Francis & Margaret (Corrigan) Norrett. He graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School in 1960.

He married the love of his life – Kathy (Stoffyn) Norrett and they began their life together on June 22, 1963. Their family grew in 1964 as they welcomed their son Fran and later in 1968 their daughter Katie. Fran spent 40 years working in Sales at Pepperidge Farm, where he enjoyed spending time with his son on the delivery truck and bringing home Pepperidge Farm goodies for the family.

Fran spent many years forming the Towamencin Youth Baseball Organization and later brought Connie Mack Baseball to Towamencin. He took pride in this accomplishment for many years to follow. He also spent many years assisting the Phillies Home Run Derby for young boys and girls. This later had a stronger impact as his granddaughter made it to the championship all those years later.

The highlight of his life was his family. He enjoyed traveling the country with his wife, Kathy once he retired. Another favorite tradition was going to Eagles training camp with his daughter, Katie every year. His pride and joy was making memories and creating traditions as a family.  His favorite spot was under his blue umbrella out in the outfield of whichever softball field his granddaughters were playing on.

Fran is survived by his wife Kathy, daughter Katie (Doug) Beck, granddaughters Katelyn (Tyler) Viers, Theresa Beck, his grand puppies Buddy Beck and Casper Viers and his many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son Fran Norrett, and sisters Joan (Norrett) Murphy and Andrea Norrett.

Relatives and friends are invited to a celebrate his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday March 27, 2021, at 10 am, at St. Maria Goretti Church, 1601 Derstine Rd., Hatfield, Pa., 19440, where the family will receive friends in church after 9 am, prior to Mass. Interment private.

We will be holding a gathering to celebrate his life at a later date privately due to COVID-19.

In Lieu of flowers, donations in his memory might be made to Mater Dei Catholic School, 493 E. Main Street, Lansdale PA 19446.

  1. I just happened on this memorial. Mr. Norrett was a warm and loving individual. He took the time to thank me for teaching his beloved granddaughters and always gave me a big hug when I saw him. He was such a wonderful gentleman. Kathie Kaffenberg

  2. Heaven has just welcomed one of the good guys. We will forever remember our times together in Connie Mack and Legion Baseball. Getting together with Fran and Kathy was always special for us. We take solace in the fact that he is now reunited with Frannie and the rest of his family. Rest In Peace dear friend…. Love, Rich and Linda
