Modesta C. Marincola–9/27/2017

Modesta C. Marincola, affectionately known as “Babe”, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Elm Terrace Gardens, Lansdale, PA.  She was 90 years old.

She was the wife of the late Paul G. Marincola, who passed away on December 30, 1965.

Modesta, born April 17, 1927, was a long time resident of Ambler and a member of St. Joseph’s Church.  She moved to Elm Terrace Gardens, Lansdale, 8 years ago.  A special Thank You to her dear friends and Staff at Elm Terrace Gardens for their love and care over the years.  Also, Thank You to the dedicated nurses at Ascend Hospice.

Modesta is survived by her daughter, Angela P. Rosenberger, of Hatfield, and her late son in law, Randy; a son, Gregory P. Marincola, of Hatfield, and his late wife, Andrea; three granddaughters, Joy McQuaite and her husband, Marc, Dawn Conte and her husband Michael, and Paula McCuen and her husband Scott.  She is also survived by seven great grandchildren, Matthew, Kayla and Justin McQuaite, Kelsie and Caitlyn McCuen and Anthony and Nicholas Conte; a brother, Salvatore Mallozzi of Pittsburgh and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Anne Romano and two brothers, Frank and Dominic Mallozzi.

Modesta was a group leader in the Shipping Department at the former Pilling Surgical Instruments, Ft. Washington, PA for 20 years.

“Babe” loved to sing in church and was a former long time choir member of St. Joseph’s Church, Ambler, PA.

“Babe” loved people and engaged a large circle of friends. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother and led by her Faith and good example. She was kind, courageous and always had a smile. She will be deeply missed.

Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 2, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Church, 16 South Spring Garden St., Ambler, PA, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Ambler, PA.
