oHaraJames (“Jim”) J. O’Hara, 71, of Lansdale passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017, at St. Mary’s Manor.

Jim was born in West Philadelphia, served in the US Navy, and moved to Lansdale in 1976. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church where he served the community as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. He was devoted to his faith and shaped his life around sharing it.

Jim was an enthusiastic Phillies fan, frequent traveler, and proud Irishman. He enjoyed sharing dinners and witnessing his 7 nieces and nephews grow up, all of whom he loved dearly. He had a special devotion to his grandniece, Kayla Anne, whom he routinely visited and prayed for over the years.

Jim was predeceased by his parents, James W. and Dorothy O’Hara and his grandniece, Kayla Anne Corso. He is survived by his devoted sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Joseph Cullen; his nephews, Edward Cullen and wife Vera, Joseph Cullen and wife Laura; his nieces Patricia Parks and husband Dave, Maureen Persin and husband George, Megan Gordon and husband Jeffrey, Anne Corso and husband Matthew, and Bridget Cullen; and 16 grandnieces and grandnephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Tuesday Feb.28, 2017, at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale. Calling hours are one hour prior to Mass.

Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Baily Rd., Yeadon, PA 19050.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Jim’s memory to St. Mary’s Manor, 701 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA 19446.
