Addie Cusimano—1/23/2015

Addie Cusimano, 76, of Upper Gwynedd, PA, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016. She was the wife of John L. Cusimano who passed away November 3, 2015. They were married 55 years.

Born in Jamestown, NY she was the daughter of the late Rose and Joseph Miletti and sister to the late Nick Miletti Sr. and Marion Gifford.  Surviving are her children, Judith Higgins and husband, Joseph, of Harleysville, PA and John A. Cusimano and wife, Donna, of Lansdale, PA; and five grandchildren.

Addie was a graduate of Elmira College with both a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1961 and a Master of Science in Education in 1976. Addie taught at several schools in the Elmira area before founding the region’s first learning center, The Achievement Center, in 1980 and directed the center until her retirement in 1995.

In 1995, Addie moved to the Lansdale area to be with her children and grandchildren. She devoted much of her time to her family, writing educational books, the Lansdale Women’s club, Club 50, golfing, painting and music. She was the founder, director and member of the Young at Heart Senior Orchestra.

Friends and relatives are invited to greet Addie’s family beginning at 10:00 am, Friday, January 29, 2016, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike in Lansdale, PA until the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA.
