Catherine A. Buffett—1/16/2014

Catherine A. Buffett, a resident of Lansdale for 58 years peacefully entered into eternal rest on January 16, 2014. She was the loving wife of Anthony F. Buffett who preceded her in 1978.

Born in Shamokin, PA. in 1927, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Concetta Varano Peronace.

A 1945 graduate of Shamokin High School, she was employed as a seamstress and later devoted her life to her loving family.
Known for her homemaking skills, she was always sure you never left empty handed. Her “white coconut cake” will always be remembered.

Mrs. Buffett is survived by her loving daughters, Dr. Constance A. Buffett and Mary E. Buffett, with whom she resided in Lansdale and her grandson Anthony F. Buffett for whom she waited for 78 years to fulfill her life. Also surviving are her sisters Vera Peronace of Shamokin and Josephine Novack and her husband Lawrence of Shamokin and Louise Zaleskie of Hackensack, NJ and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her loving son Dr. Francis A. Buffett in 2009 and her sisters Rose Quarequio, Elizabeth Peronace and Mary Machinski.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Monday, January 20th at 11AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA. 19446 where the family will receive friends Monday from 10 to 11AM. Interment St. Edwards Cemetery in Shamokin.

For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, contributions be sent, in Catherine’s memory, to Adult Day Care Services at Abington Health Lansdale Hospital, 51 Medical Campus Drive, Lansdale, PA. 19446 OR to Gwynedd Square Nursing Center, 773 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446, to the attention of Thomas J. Henninger, Administrator, who both provided care and compassion to her and her daughters.

Catherine was with us for 86 years but we always want more. Heaven gained a special angel. The world seemed a little brighter with her in it. Rest in Peace, we love and miss you Mom, Connie and Mary.
