Alfred J. Leotta, age 92, of North Wales died on September 29, 2016 at his residence. Born in Lansdale, he was the son of the late Angelo and Nancy Leotta. He has been a lifelong resident of the North Penn area and graduated from Lansdale High School, class of 1943. Mr. Leotta served in the US Army during WW2 in the European Theater in the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War and the Virgilio, Schembri, Battavio Post Little Vets. He was also a member of the United Steel Workers Union.
He worked as a machinist at J. W. Rex Co. of Lansdale for 35 years, retiring in 1989.
Mr. Leotta was a lifelong member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 69 years, Josephine R. DiCandilo Leotta and his devoted daughter Patricia Leotta and her husband Peter Mooney of Meadowbrook, PA.
Also surviving are his grandchildren Katharine, Matthew and Michael Mooney.
Mr. Leotta was preceded in death by his sister Anne Patti and his brothers Dominic, Harry, Thomas and Samuel Leotta.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Wednesday, October 5th at 11AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA. 19446 where the family will receive friends Wednesday in Church from 10 to 11AM.
