Patricia Hendricks—8/26/2016

Patricia “Pat” Hendricks passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 26, 2016, with her children at her side. Pat was born in Fort Smith Arkansas on Nov. 22, 1930.  She married husband Cliff in 1951 shortly after he joined the Air Force and the two enjoyed 62 years together before Cliff passed away in 2014.  Together the  couple raised their family as they moved through postings in Oklahoma, Missouri, England, Illinois, Nebraska and Maryland before moving to Lansdale in 1996.
Pat is survived by her four children and their spouses:  Rick and wife Karen from Woodland CA, Linda from Lansdale, Mary Ann from Seattle, WA and Steve and wife Carolyn from Bethesda, MA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren Andrea, Jason, Christopher, Matthew, Cameron, Leslie, Conner and Jeffrey.
Pat lived a life dedicated to the service of others.  After raising her family, Pat served as a eucharistic minister for over 30 years, first at St. Matthias Parish in Seabrook, MD and then at St. Stanislaus Parish after relocating to Lansdale.  She and husband Cliff spent Sundays providing transportation for St. Mathias shut-ins to Mass then to breakfast at one of the local buffets.  After moving to Lansdale, Pat continued serving as a eucharistic minister at St. Stanislaus. She and Cliff attended daily Mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa for several years. Their 50th wedding anniversary Mass in 2001 celebrated by Father Miriam was the first in Our Lady’s Chapel. After the commute to Czestochowa became burdensome, Pat and Cliff became daily Mass regulars at St. Mary Manor where they also served as volunteers.  Pat was proud to be part of the “inaugural” group of adorers when the St. Katherine Drexel chapel opened and 24 hr eucharistic adoration was instituted at St. Stanislaus. She served for several years both as an adorer and as the Friday captain. She and Cliff also volunteered at the St. Stanislaus festival.  Pat always was happiest when she helping someone else.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Pat’s funeral Mass on Thur. Sept 1st at 11 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA 19446, where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM in church before Mass.  Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.
In lieu of of flowers, memorial donations in Pat’s name may be made to St. Stanislaus Parish Church (address above) or to Catholic Relief Services, P.O. Box 17090, Baltimore, MD 21297-0303 or online at www.crs.org.
