Benedetto Poccia, 81, of Lansdale, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 26, 2015.

Born in Scauri, Italy, he was the son of the late Nicandro and Angelica Poccia.

Benedetto worked for 36 years as a cabinet maker for Bounds Company in Montgomeryville, PA.

He was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lansdale.

In life, he was a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed gardening, working with his hands, and going to the Nor-Gwyn Pool.

Benedetto is survived by his wife Angela M. Poccia; his two sons Nicandro Poccia, wife Kira, granddaughter Maria of North Wales, PA, and Benedetto Poccia, Jr., wife Linda, grandson Justin of Whitehall, PA.

He was preceded in death by his sister Elena Poccia of Scauri, Italy.

Benedetto will be lovingly remembered by relatives and friends whom he left behind in Scauri and Minturno, Italy.  He enjoyed visiting his home town often to be with family and friends.

Viewing will be at Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main St., Lansdale, PA on Monday, June 1, 2015 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA  19446.  Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
