Stanley P. Skrzat—5/12/2015

Stanley P. Skrzat, age 89, at lifelong resident of Lansdale died May 12, 2015 at Abington Health Lansdale Hospital.

Born May 4, 1926, he was the son of the late Stanislaus and Blanche Skrzat. He was a graduate from Lansdale High School.

He proudly served in the US Navy during WW2 in the Pacific Theater.

Stan worked for 40 years at Philco-Ford Electronics, formerly on Church Road in Lansdale, as a maintenance manager.

He was a devoted Catholic and was an active member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lansdale.

He volunteered for many years at the annual Summer Festival and as an usher at Sunday Masses. He was also a member of Pius the 9th Council, Knights of Columbus in Lansdale and the Father Tomlo 4th Degree Assembly in Bridgeport and was also was a member of the Alhambria and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Lansdale.

He was an avid golfer and fisherman and was a member of the Great Swamp Fish and Game Association in Quakertown.

His beloved wife of 64 years, Margaret Ann Heron Skrzat, died on April 6, 2013.

Surviving are his devoted sons Richard P. Skrzat and his wife Colleen of Collegeville and Brad Skrzat and his wife Jackie of Hatfield; his grandchildren Michael, Shannon, Kelley and Ryan and great grandchildren Evelyn, TJ, Simon and Madison.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward, Joseph, and Anthony Skrzat and his sister Emily Molettiere.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Wednesday, May 20th at 11AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA. 19446 where the family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 11AM. Interment St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, contributions in Stan’s memory to St. Stanislaus Church (address above) would be preferred.
