Margaret Grace Emmell

Margaret Grace Emmell, age 82, of Perkasie died January 21st at Grandview Hospital, W. Rockhill Twp.

Born in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of the late Abe and Margaret Moore.
She has lived in Perkasie since 1988 and previously had lived in North Wales for 42 years.

Mrs. Emmell had for many years worked at the family owned equestrian center in Montgomery Township. She later worked for the Bucks County School District.

Her beloved husband of 52 years, John W. Emmell, died on July 11, 1998.

Mrs. Emmell was an active member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Perkasie where she volunteered with many church activities and had developed many beloved friendships.

She also loved gardening, cooking especially baking, “Tommy” the cat and celebrating the holidays with her family. She was devoted to her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was loved by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Surviving is her daughter M. Grace Emmell Leister and her husband William of Telford,  her three sons John W. Emmell, Jr and his wife Goldie of New Britain, Daniel Emmell and his wife Patricia of New Paris and Frank Emmell of Punxsutawney, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren,.her brother Abe Moore, Jr and his wife Joanne of Perkasie and sisters Emma Moyer of New Britain, Sophie Goodpasture and her husband Gary of Mariposa, CA and Jean Greulich of Lansdale.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Tuesday, January 24th at 11:30AM at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 3668 Ridge Road, Perkasie, PA. 18944 where the family will receive friends Tuesday morning prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:30AM. Following the service, all are invited to a luncheon at St. Matthews Lutheran Churchand share memories of Grace.  Interment will be private in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.

For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Grace’s name to St. Matthews Lutheran Church (address above) or Grandview Hospice, 700 Lawn Ave., Sellersville, PA. 18960 would be preferred.
