Charles “Butch” Gerald Schuler—1/17/2018

Charles “Butch” Schuler, age 73, of Quakertown, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 following several months of illness. Born in Bryn Mawr, he was the son of the late Carl and Anna Schuler.

A long time resident of the North Penn area, he attended Gwynned Mercy Academy Elementary School, Lansdale Catholic High S, Valley Forge Military Academy, and eventually Drexel University.

As well as serving in the U.S. Army Reserves, Butch was employed as a Chef, Bartender, and in a factory, doing manufacturing work. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and an avid Eagles fan. His joy was the ocean. He loved to fish, hike in woods, and the game of golf. He was a collector of stamps and coins, and a true lover of music, particularly Bob Dylan.

Those who knew Butch knew a man that always had something funny to say, a man that tried to remember every person’s name that he came in contact with, a man that loved puns and was always trying to make you smile.

He is survived by a loving wife, Linda Schuler (Faul), and sons, Kevin Schuler, Byron Schuler, and daughter Sara White (Schuler) and husband George White IV, and grandchildren, Dylan Schuler, Danielle Schuler, Nicholas Schuler, George White V, and Noah White, and beloved cats, Sonny and Tiz.

Butch’s family will receive relatives and friends at St Isidore Catholic Church in Quakertown on Tuesday, January 23rd from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. The Funeral Mass will start at 11:00 A.M., with internment to follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks on Butch’s behalf, to pay it forward in kindness. That anyone willing to do so, might visit a friend, relative or even someone you don’t know, in your local nursing home.
