Sandra Ann (Ortman) Brinkos (formerly Sandra Ann Sucoloski), Wife of John Brinkos, Sister of Barbara  (Larry) Palmer, Mother of Scott (Tammy) Sucoloski, Mark (Janet) Sucoloski, and Sherry (Paul) Tornetta, Grandmother of Olivia, Sophia, Julianna and Andrew (Tornetta), Cassandra and Cole (Sucoloski), and Mark, Caroline, and Annie (Sucoloski), Stepmother of John (Mig) Brinkos, Step Grandmother of Kathleen and Joey (Brinkos), and Great Grandmother of 3, passed away on 12/22/2017 at Gwynedd Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Lansdale, PA from complications related to Alzheimer’s. Sandra was 74 years old.

Born in Lansdale, PA on 11/22/1943 to Catherine (Ortman) Bedwell and Ken Ortman, Sandra attended North Penn High School and was a field hockey star. Upon graduation Sandra attended the Marine Corps boot camp. Sandra’s life was dedicated to her children through her efforts as the “lunch lady” at St. Stanislaus elementary, Cheerleading coach at St. Stanislaus, and “prop maker” for high school productions at Lansdale Catholic High School. Sandra worked for many years as the receptionist for the law firm of Dischell, Bartle, Yanoff and Dooley in Lansdale, PA.

Sandra’s legacy is the example she set as a mother who was very involved in every aspect of her childrens’ and grandchildrens’ lives.

A receiving time will be held at the Simcox-MclLvaine Funeral Home located at 532 East Main Street, Lansdale, PA  on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 9am -11am. There will be a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Sandra’s memory.

  1. So sorry to hear you lost your mom. I only found out today or I would have come!! My whole family loved her and you guys as well. Time goes by and we get caught up in or own new lives, but I often think of old times that were so fun with you all and memorable with your mom. I wish you all healthy and happier New Year!
