Josephine Barbara Mayer—12/15/2017

Josephine Barbara Mayer (Waldner), 83, of Colmar, PA, passed away peacefully at Doylestown Hospital on December 15, 2017. Josephine was born in Philadelphia, PA, on October 23, 1934.

Josephine is survived by her two sons, Carmen Veneziale, Bill Mayer and his spouse, Cynthia. She is also survived by her five granddaughters, Heather Veneziale, Shannon Veneziale-Sadowski, Lindsey Szojka and her spouse Frank, Brittany Mayer, and Katherine Mayer; seven great grandchildren, Danielle Smith, DeAngela Thompson, Dajah Veneziale, Nashia Veneziale-Jenkins, Kaylee Wilson, King Carmine Jenkins, and Giuliana Szojka; two great, great grandchildren, Avriana Vargas and Cesar Vargas, Jr.; and sister, Helen LaRosa, brother, Michael Waldner and his spouse Norma.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Ellen and father, Joseph Waldner.

Josephine had a long career in the restaurant industry before joining the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. She spent most of her free time working with animals and helping to support multiple animal causes and charities. While she will be forever missed by her 4 legged friends like Damu, Bitty, Missy, Lexus, Baby Boy, Baby Girl, Momma, Bootsie, Mischeif, and Precious, her memory will live on forever.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, December 22nd, at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale PA, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.  A Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. followed by a burial at St. John Neumann’s cemetery.
