Robert Wilkin–5/4/2017

Robert Wilkin (Bob) (54) of Lansdale passed peacefully in his sleep early Thursday morning May 4, 2017, at Abington Hospice in Warminster after a long and difficult battle with cancer.

Bob was born in Fort Carson, Colorado on April 12, 1963. He grew up in Oreland, PA. He graduated from Holy Martyrs, LaSalle College High School and Villanova University.

He was preceded by his father Robert J. Wilkin Jr. He was survived by his mother Katherine Wilkin-McAnallen (Ron), by his brothers Tom (Diane), Mike (Megan), his sister Kate, his Nephews/Niece Conor, Luke, Jack, Leigh, Nick, Bobby and his Godson Rustam.

Bob was deeply passionate about his family and friends. He would drop whatever he was doing to help any of them for any reason. He adored spending time with his niece, nephews and godson—be it at the beach in Margate, at a Phillies game, or anywhere else his family and friends gathered. He will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched.

Arrangements are being handled by Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home in Lansdale PA.

Visitation will begin at 10 am on Friday May 12 followed by a Mass at 11 am—both at St Rose of Lima located at 428 S. Main Street, North Wales PA. The services will be followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetary at 3301 W. Cheltenham Ave, Philadelphia, PA (corner of Easton Rd and Cheltenham Ave).   Reception luncheon for family and friends will be held immediately after the burial at Manufacturers’ Golf & Country Club located at 511 Dreshertown Rd, Fort Washington, PA.

In-lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
