Clare Therese Mary Vize Woebkenberg, 82, passed away quietly in her sleep at home on 16 March 2017.
Born in Wicklow Town, County Wicklow, Ireland, on 3 October 1934, one of 8 children born to General Joseph and Roisin Vize. Clare emigrated to the United States in the late 1950s as a stewardess for American Airlines, and met her beloved husband of 55 years, William H. Woebkenberg on a delay between flights.
Settling in Lansdale, she raised her 4 children, Valerie (Daniel) Godzieba of Lansdale, Pa, Andrea (James) Corbett of Maine, William (Celeste Zulczyk) of Canton, Michigan, and Liesl (Christopher) of Homer, New York. In addition to her husband and children, she is also survived by her grandchildren, Kiersten, Daniel and Luke Godzieba; Ian, Shane, Kellan, Maddie and Hannah Corbett; Ryan, Dylan and Jacob Woebkenberg; and Arielle, Samuel, Zane and Clare Moheimani, and several nieces and nephews in Ireland and the United States.
She is predeceased by her parents, her sister Marjorie, brothers Alfie and Charlie, and her son Patrick.
The family will receive friends at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA. 19446 on Monday, March 20, 2017, from 10AM to 11AM. Mrs. Woebkenberg’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Philip Forlano at 11AM. Interment Private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mater Dei Catholic School, Lansdale Catholic High School, or the SPCA because of her great love of animals.

Clare led a very accomplished life. Having the courage and ambition to leave Ireland to make a future in the U.S. And, doing so on her own and as a flight attendant. She and Bill raised lovely children. Those of us who know a Woebkenberg (or two or three….) know that Clare shines brightly in each of them.
