Helmut Frank Glaser—11/16/2016

Helmut Frank Gloser, age 90, of Avalon, NJ, formerly of Lansdale, died November 16, 2016. He was the husband of the late Ann (Glover) Gloser, his wife of 59 years.

Born in the Czechoslovakia in 1926, Frank and his mother immigrated to America when he was nine. He attended Collegeville-Trappe High School and Rider College and served with the Seabees in the United States Navy during World War II.

Frank worked as a manager with Acme Markets for forty years. He and his wife spent much of their retired years traveling. They visited over thirty different countries. During the last nine years, Frank spent most of the year visiting with his children and grandchildren across the US. He was a sports enthusiast and the ultimate dog lover. He enjoyed playing bridge, fishing and spending time at the beach with his family.

His is survived by his children Joan Grey (Gary Brennan) of Tempe, AZ, Jill Leinhauser (John) of Jacksonville, FL, Paul Gloser of Harrisburg, PA, Nan Davis (Sam) of Lansdale, PA, Sue Deasy of Indian Shores, FL, and Gwen Kissinger (Rob) of Mechanicsburg, PA. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday evening November 28th from 7 to 9 PM at the Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main St., Lansdale, PA 19446, and again on Tuesday morning, November 29th, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow, Tuesday morning at 11 AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA. 19446.  Interment at a later date.  Arrangements are by Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home in Lansdale.

  1. During the last few years I shared time with Frank, it was obvious how blessed he was to spend so much time with his loving family. He will be missed by many and I’m sure welcomed into heaven by even more.
