Joseph Kellner—10/8/2016

Joseph D. “Don” Kellner, age 77, died Saturday, October 8th at his residence in Harleysville. He had been in failing health.

Born in Hazelton, he was the son of the late George and Gladys Sterling Kellner. He has lived in the North Penn area since 1948 and graduated from North Penn High School.

Don worked for Coca-Cola Co. at their plant in West Point for 20 years and later at Merck also in West Point as a Tool and Dye maker for 18 years. He then went into business for himself and founded, owned and operated  Kellner Lawn and Leasure in North Wales. After selling the business he worked at Merck in West Point for 18 years.

Don had a passion for cars and racing and was a member of the Corvette Club and also the Pennsylvania Snow Mobile Assn. organizing and running snow mobile tours.

Don’s beloved first wife Margaret “Sue” Kellner died on February 1, 2008.

Survivors include his beloved current wife Catherine A. Davis Kellner; his two devoted sons Joseph D. Kellner and his wife Vickie of Jim Thorpe and Jonathan L. Kellner and his wife Donna of West Point and grandchildren Krystal, Nick, Jesse, Jonathan, Jr and Michael and his wife Jessica. Don is also survived by his brother Robert Lee and his wife Darlene of Benton, PA.

It was Don’s wish that Relatives and Friends gather for a simple graveside burial service at St. Stanislaus “New” Cemetery (behind the Church), 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA. 19446 on Wednesday, October 12th at 11AM. For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, memorial contribution in Don’s memory, may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Rd., Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA. 19422.
