Frank Russo—8/10/2016

Frank M. Russo, age 81, died August 10th at his residence in Lansdale. He had been in failing health.

Born May 8, 1935 in Lansdale he was the son of the late John and Minnie DiCostanzo Russo.

Frank has been a lifelong resident of Lansdale. He graduated from Little Flower High School, now known as Lansdale Catholic and was a member of the class of 1953. He also graduated from Lansdale School of Business.

Frank worked for 13 years as a letter carrier with the US Post Office in Lansdale and also Stroehmann’s Bakery for 23 years and retired as a school bus driver for First Student. Frank was a lifelong member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church where for 10 years he counted contributions following Sunday Masses. He also enjoyed gardening but his greatest love was his grandchildren.

Surviving is his beloved wife of 57 years, Anita Catherine Moore Russo and his 4 devoted daughters, Tina Dietrich and her husband Gary, MD of Harleysville, Corinne Salfi and her husband Tim of Doylestown, Leslie Hernandez and her husband Juan of Weston, FL and Anita Peters and her husband Michael of Lansdale. Frank is also survived by his 6 beloved grandchildren Jason, Stephen, Geoffrey, Alejandra, Megan and Christopher. Frank also is survived by sisters Mary Savo of King of Prussia and Joan Capone of West Chester and his brother Reverend Anthony J. Russo of Baton Rouge, LA.

He was preceded in death by his brother Louis Russo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 13th at 11:30AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA. 19446 where the family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30 to 11:15AM. Interment St. John Neumann Cemetery.

For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, memorial contribution in Frank’s memory to St. Stanislaus Church (address above) would be preferred.
