Donna Devlin—7/30/16

Donna M. Devlin, age 67, of Lansdale drifted peacefully home to the Lord on Saturday morning surrounded by her family at home.

Devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, neighbor and friend she will be missed immeasurably by all who knew her.

Donna enjoyed bingo, bargain shopping and visiting with her many friends. She was an exceptional cook who loved to spoil her family with food.

Donna was a loving and generous person who was always there to listen and lend a helping hand. She lived simply and gave generously. Her happiest moments came from spending time with her two grandchildren whom she adored.

Donna lived all of her life in Hatfield and Lansdale, PA. She retired from Schulmerich Bells (formerly in Sellersville, PA) in 2013. After her retirement from Schulmerich, Donna worked part time as a crossing guard for Lansdale Borough. Many friends came to know her from her work at M&S Vending driving a lunch truck to many businesses around Lansdale. Snow, rain or shine Donna took pride in delivering great food and service. She was a hard worker who took great pride in her work and she enjoyed making others happy.  With her generosity and easy going personality, Donna made many good friends. Her family would like to thank each and every one of them for their love and kindness during this difficult time.

Survivors include her two beloved sons Ryan C. Devlin and his wife Gina (nee. Muscarella) of Quakertown and their son Wyatt F. Devlin, and Gregory J. Devlin and his partner Christina Hazzard of Lansdale and Gregory’s daughter Emma M. Devlin. Also surviving is her sister Diana (nee. Niess) DiSimone of Hatfield and her nephew John DiSimone of Hatfield, as well as aunts and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Peter Niess, Jr. and her mother Mary Delloso Niess.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass, on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 11am at Saint Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA 19446 where the family will receive friends Friday morning from 10am to 11am before Mass. Interment private in St. Stanislaus’ Cemetery. There will also be a viewing Thursday evening from 7pm to 9pm at Simcox McIlvaine Funeral Home 532 E. Main Street Lansdale, PA. 19446. For those desiring in lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Donna’s memory to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation 155 E 55th Street, Suite 6H, New York, NY 10022, would be preferred.
