Rita T. (McFadden) Field, age 95, of Hatfield died peacefully on June 28th surrounded by her family at the Upper Gwynedd home of her daughter, Barbara J. Kriebel. Mrs. Field lived by herself until her health began to fail several weeks ago.

She was born on January 18, 1921 in Darby, PA and was the daughter of the late Cornelius J. and Agnes M. (Larkin) McFadden. She lived in Hatfield since 1956 and was formerly from Norwood. She was an employee at Merck and Company in West Point for 21 years. Mrs. Field was a homemaker and an avid sports fan. She was a devout member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lansdale for 60 years. Her beloved husband of 49 years, Edwin Haslett Field, died September 29, 1992.

Surviving are her daughters Cecilia M. Mitman and her husband Richard of Sellersville, Constance A. Ryan (the late Robert) of Frankford, DE, Barbara J. Kriebel and her husband Paul of Upper Gwynedd, her late son Edwin C. Field (the late Stephanie), her 5 grandchildren Terrence, Lisa, Kevin, Scott and Eric and her 7 great-grandchildren Ashley, Joshua, Christian, Ethan, Rutger, Lucas and Cierra. Mrs. Field was preceded in death by her 9 siblings. Her late siblings include Joseph, Mary, Margaret, William, Vincent, Dolores, Edmond, Agnes and Cornelius.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Tuesday, July 5th at 10AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446 where the family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 9 to 10AM. Interment Whitemarsh Memorial Park. For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rita’s memory to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church (address above) would be preferred.
