Elmer Harry DeFrehn, age 92, of North Wales, formerly of Neshaminy Falls died Thursday, June 9, 2016. He was preceded by his beloved wife Shirley Irene (Batdorf) DeFrehn.

Born in Mahanoy City he was the son of the late Elmer Harry and Adelena (Pell) DeFrehn. Mr. DeFrehn worked as a Union Plumber. He served his country honorably in the Army with the famous 9th Armored Division in WWII.

Surviving are his loving son Jeffrey DeFrehn and his wife Maureen and his loving daughter Shirley Defrehn, a brother Edward Defrehn, grandchildren Kristen (Adam) and Kara (Patrick), as well as great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Cameron, Sarah, Lucy and Maeve.

He was preceded by his sisters Stella, Margaret, Emma, Grace and Amelia.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Thursday, May 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA. 19446, where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM before Mass. Interment Northwood Cemetery in Philadelphia.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Elmer’s name to St. Stanislaus Church (address above).
