Walter Taylor—12/9/2015

Walter J. Taylor, 83, of Harleysville died Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at the Rockhill Mennonite Community in Sellersville.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John and Ann Lithgow Taylor.

He had lived in Willow Grove and Chalfont for many years prior to moving to Harleysville.

Mr. Taylor attended Northeast High School in Philadelphia.

He served in the US Army in Korea during the Korean War.

He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Chalfont.

His wife, Margaret Gaughan Taylor, died in 1975.

Mr. Taylor worked as a trailor mechanic at Strick Trucking Company in Langhorne for 20 years retiring in 1975.

Surviving are his sons Patrick Taylor and his wife Janet of North Carolina and Lawrence Taylor of Philadelphia, 2 grandchildren Chris and Joshua and his brother Francis Taylor. Also surviving is his dear friend and longtime companion Bernice Barszcz of Harleysville.

Walter’s funeral service and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
