Francis J. Yovish, age 87, of Lansdale died Monday, July 6, 2015 at Keystone House, Wyndmoor, PA. He was the widow of his recently deceased wife of 59 years, Olga P. Yovish.
Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, he was the son of the late Ino and Alesia (Taunlewicz) Yovish. He was a graduate of Edwardsville High School and was a proud Veteran of the U. S. Navy having served for 8 years during World War II and the Korean War as a UDT Navy Seaman.
Mr. Yovish was a precision machinist having worked locally to provide parts for many of the early NASA manned space missions. He was a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. Mr. Yovish enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and loved spending time with his family.
He was predeceased in death by his 7 siblings. He is survived by his loving daughter, Patricia Yovish Brownell and her husband John of Lower Gwynedd, his two granddaughters, Katrina Ingram and her husband Thom of Longmont, CO and Stephanie Brownell of Lansdale, and his loving son, Mark Francis Yovish and his wife Mary Ann of Richmond, VA and his step-daughter Ashley.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA. 19446, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 AM before Mass. Interment Greenlawn Cemetery in North Wales with Military Honors.
