Virginia Elizabeth Blackburn Boren, age 98, passed away on Wednesday, April 22nd at her residence at Dock Terrace in Lansdale. Virginia was the wife of the late John Boren.

Born on August 19, 1916 in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Sarah Cook Blackburn.

She is survived by her brother Irvin Blackburn and his wife Carolyn Fisher, and her niece Carolyn Feimer and her husband Rudy of Brookings, OR and their daughters Debbie, Darlene, and Kathleen and their families on the West Coast. Other relatives include Rev. Thomas R. Cook, Mary Ellen Buehler and her husband William, Catherine Naughton and and her husband James, Peter Cook and his wife Joan, Robert Cook and his wife Delores.

Virginia and her family are most grateful for the loving care and devotion by her many friends at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hilltown and the Mennonite Communities.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Wednesday, April 29th at 11AM at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Route 152 and Broad St., Hilltown, PA. 18927 where the family will receive friends Wednesday in Church prior to Mass from 10 to 11AM. Interment in her family lot in St. Patricks Cemetery, E. Norriton will be scheduled at a later date.
