Helen V. Bender, age 63, of Sellersville, formerly of Upper Gwynedd died on April 6th at Abington Hospital, Abington. She had been in failing health.

Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Helen Hamilton Murray of Upper Darby and the late Michael Murray.

She has lived in Sellersville for the last five years and previously lived in Upper Gwynedd for 30 years.

She was a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School for Girls in Drexel Hill.

Mrs. Bender worked as a school bus driver for First Student for 12 years.

Her beloved husband, Michael M. Bender, died on November 4, 2002.

She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Upper Gwynedd.

She adored her grandchildren Michael, Kayla, Lila and Carmela Bender. Also surviving are her three sons Michael Bender and his wife Kelly of Sellersville, Matthew Bender and his wife Daniela of Plymouth Meeting and Stephen Bender and his wife Whitney of Glenside and brothers Michael Murray of Upper Darby, Timothy Murray of Havertown and Joseph Murray of Ridley Park and sisters Marion Murray of Upper Darby, Patricia Lehman of Springfield, Del. Co., Sally Kane of Upper Darby and Kathleen Gregg of Westbrook Park.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Friday, April 10th at 11AM at Corpus Christi Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA. 19446 (in Upper Gwynedd) where the family will receive friends Friday morning from 9:30 to 11AM.

Interment Calvary Cemetery, W. Conshohocken. For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Kidney Foundation, at the Bourse Food Court, 111 S. Independence Mall East, #411, Philadelphia, PA. 19106 would be preferred.
