Joseph J. Creegan—1/31/2015

grandpop_1Joseph J. Creegan, age 85, of Ambler, died January 31, 2015. 

He was the beloved husband of Elsie S. Creegan. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late John and Theresa (McKee) Creegan. Mr. Creegan was a self employed car dealer as the owner/operator of Creegan Motors in North Wales and Northeastern Motors in Scranton. 

He sat on the Advisory Board for the American Motors Dealers of Philadelphia/South Jersey area. He was a Member of the Knights of Columbus and a longtime member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. He was proud of his Irish heritage and his hometown of Scranton, PA. He loved collecting art, reading the paper, attending auctions, and was an avid fan of his beloved Phillies and Eagles. He served his country honorably with the United States Army. 

In addition to his wife, survivors include 5 children; Joseph J. Creegan (Rocio), Colleen T. Dougherty, Erin Marie Kurpiel (Richard), Timarie A. Creegan, and Christian A. Toft (Pamela), 15 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. He was preceded in death by his beloved, first wife Ann Theresa Walsh Creegan, one daughter, Patricia J. Creegan, one son, Robert F. Toft, and baby Maureen. Mr. Creegan was one of seven Children. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Thursday morning, February 5,  2015,  at 11 AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA. 19446, where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11AM before Mass.  Internment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations in Joseph’s name to American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org or Free to Breathe at www.freetobreathe.org.
