Marie T. (nee. Cullen) Ganley—9/16/14

Marie T. (nee. Cullen) Ganley, age 85, of Normandy Farms Estates in Blue Bell, formerly of Norristown, died Tuesday September 16, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her husband John L. Ganley in 1990. Born and raised in Conshohocken, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (O’Neill) Cullen. 

Mrs. Ganley attended St. Matthew’s Grade School and High School in Conshohocken. She worked as an Administrative Assistant with The Vanguard Group. 

Mrs. Ganley’s life was always centered around her family, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed traveling, Sunday roast beef dinner, and laughter

Surviving are two loving daughters; Kathleen M . Ganley and her husband Thomas McVeigh of Chester Springs and Susan G. Seybert of Lansdale and her loving son Jack P. Ganley and his wife Marianne of Greensboro, NC, as well as fiveGrandchildren; Ryan Ganley (Carrie), Christopher Ganley, Meghan McVeigh, Kevin Seybert and Jenna Seybert.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by five siblings and her son-in-law, Thomas N. Seybert. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Monday, September 22, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM in the evening, at the Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main St., Lansdale, PA. 19446 and again Tuesday, September 23, 2014, from 9:45 to 10:45 AM in the morning, also at the Funeral Home, which will be followed by her Funeral Mass at 11AM, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA. 19446. Interment is at St. Augustine’s Cemetery in King of Prussia.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Marie’s name can be made to the Patrician Society of Norristown, 121 E. Chestnut St., Norristown, PA. 19401.

  1. This is for Jack whom I worked with at Lees Carpets as well as his mother Marie….
    She was a wonderful person who had an elegance about her but was down to earth when she spoke to people. I am sorry for your loss and know she will be missed greatly.

  2. My sister- in-law Marie was an wonderful lady. She had a positive attitude and always had a smile on her face. Marie used her exceptional talents at work and loved and enjoyed her family. I have happy memories of our times together. May she rest in peace.
