Gloria G. Campbell—4/26/2014

Image (30)Gloria G. Campbell, age 77, of Lansdale died Saturday, April 26th at her residence. She had been in failing health.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Cecelia Bryzinka Stefanowicz. She has lived in Lansdale since 1964 and was formerly of Northeast Philadelphia. She was a graduate Nazareth Academy High School in NE Philadelphia. 

Mrs. Campbell had worked as the Executive Secretary of Richard Schweiker when he was  President and Chairman of the Board at American Olean Tile Company in Lansdale. She later worked as a secretary for the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit.

Mrs. Campbell was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church where  she was active with the St. Stans Senior Center and volunteered at the front desk at the Parish Center as a receptionist and switch board operator. She also volunteered with Welcome Wagon and was an avid skier. 

Her beloved husband, Joseph R. Campbell, Sr., died on October 21, 2013.
Surviving is her devoted son Joseph R. Campbell, Jr. of Lansdale and cherished grandchildren Ashley and Kacey Campbell and her brother Harvey Stefanowicz of Warminster. 

She was preceded in death by her son Christopher V. Campbell in December, 2009.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Monday, May 5th at 11AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Avenue, Lansdale, PA. 19446 where the family will receive friends  Monday from 9:30 to 10:45AM. Interment at a later date in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Gloria’s memory
to St. Stanislaus Church (address above) would be preferred.

  1. Knowing Gloria has been a gift – she was always an inspiration to me, and will be sorely missed. From her upbeat ways to her willingness to dig in and get a job done at the parish, Gloria gave all who knew her an example of how to live. She and Joe were the couple we all loved and admired. They are together again.
