Rosario A. Cavallaro—4/6/2014

Rosario A. Cavallaro, age 87, a lifelong resident of Lansdale died April 6th at his residence.

Born in Lansdale, he was the son of the late Guiseppe and Rosa Cavallaro.
He worked for 30 years for the Borough of Lansdale with the Public Works Department in maintenance, retiring in 1991.

Mr. Cavallaro served in the US Army during WW2 in the Pacific Theater.

His beloved wife, Mary Stoduto Cavallaro, died in March, 2009. 

He was an active member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lansdale where he served as an usher for 62 years.

He was an active member of Pius 9th Council, No 4396, Knights of Columbus in Lansdale for many years and he was also a member of the Sons of Italy in Lansdale.  

Surviving are two daughters Rosemary Arcaro and Marie Cavallaro both of Lansdale. He was preceded in death by two brothers Anthony and Palamino Cavallaro.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Friday, April 11th at 11AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA. 19446 where the family will receive friends Friday from 10 to 11AM. Interment St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Russ’s name to St. Stanislaus Church (address above) would be preferred.

  1. Russell, you will be truly missed. So sorry to hear of your passing. I am glad I saw you at my Mother’s viewing. Russ and Mary were always close to my Mother and Father and the family.
