Paul William Moretski – 1/5/14

Paul William Moretski, age 68, of Hatfield, died Sunday January 5, 2014 at Abington Health Lansdale Hospital.  Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Florian and Doris Mummaw Moretski. He has lived in Hatfield for 10 years and was formerly of Lansdale.

Paul graduated from St. Columbus Elementary School and North Catholic High School, class of 1963, both in Philadelphia. He served in the US 7th Army during the 1960s. 

He was a construction worker for many years with Frank Radomski Construction Company.  Mr. Moretski was an active member of the St. Stanislaus Church community where he was a coach, referee and mentor for CYO sports. He also very much enjoyed a round of golf with his buddies.

Paul was himself an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Eagles, Phillies and 76ers on TV but most of all enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in sports.

He was also a member of the American Legion.

Surviving are his beloved children Paul Moretski and his wife Kelly of Harleysville, Denise Randall and her husband Michael of Telford, Susan Colasanti and her husband Richard of Royersford and Daniel Moretski and his wife Andrea of Schwenksville; eleven grandchildren Zachary, Megan, Gavin, Paul, Lauren, Riley, Maria, Richie, Rachel, Julia and Katie, his sister Louise Moretski of Hatfield and his nephew Chris Sanchez. Paul was preceded in death by his sisters Pat Sanchez and Gerri Moretski.
Relatives and friends are invited  to attend his Funeral Mass on Thursday, January 9th at 11AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA. 19446 where the family will receive friends Thursday from 9 to 10:45AM. Interment at a later date at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.

For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Paul’s memory to St. Stanislaus Elementary School, 493 E. Main St., Lansdale, PA. 19446 would be preferred by Paul and his family.
