Dorothy C. Crenny – 1/5/14

Image (24) copyDorothy C. Crenny of Lansdale passed away peacefully on January 5th at Abington Hospice at Warminster. She was 85 years young.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late James and Anna Kelly Crenny.  Miss Crenny was a graduate of the Pierce Business School in Philadelphia.  
She worked in the Shipping and Manufacturing Depts. at Merck and Co. in West Point for 49 years.
She was an active and devoted member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lansdale where she volunteered at the annual Summer Festival and weekly Bingo. Dot volunteered as a parish receptionist as well as with the “Hope” program.  She was a member of the Adoration Chapel group and was a daily communicant at Mass. She also was a member of the PEAK Senior Center in Lansdale. Dot was very proud of and generous to her family and she supported many local and national charities. She was a kind and loyal friend to many and was loved by all who got to know her.
She was the remaining survivor of 12 brothers and sisters, the late Mary Crenny, Eleanor Doughtery, Anna Griffin, James Crenny, Catherine Crenny, Elizabeth Crenny, Joseph Crenny, Agnes Friel, John Crenny, Eddie Crenny, Teresa McCarron and Francis Joseph Crenny.
Dorothy is survived by 30 loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 11th at 10:30AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Avenue, Lansdale, PA. 19446 where the family will receive friends Saturday from 9 to 10:15AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dot’s memory to St. Stanislaus Church (address above) or the Montgomery County SPCA, 19 E. Ridge Pike, Conshohocken, PA. 19428 would be preferred. Arrangements by Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, Lansdale.
