Elizabeth T. Sheeder—12/29/13

Elizabeth T. Sheeder, age 91, of Hatfield died December 29th at her residence. She had been in failing health. Mrs. Sheeder had lived in Dublin for many years.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Isadore and Marie Callahan Kivitz.

She graduated from Immaculate Conception Elementary School in Germantown and St Peter’s Commercial School also in Philadelphia.

Mrs. Sheeder was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lansdale.

Her beloved husband, Earl Sheeder, died in October, 1985.

Surviving are her daughters Patricia A. Burgese and her husband Lou with whom she lived in Hatfield and Joan E. Yard and her husband John of Perkasie and her sons Jack Sheeder of Perkasie and Michael Sheeder of Dublin; her grandchildren Ronnie, Michelle, John, Christopher, Kathy, Tina and Earl; eleven great grandchildren and her sister Nancy Niles of Warminster. She was preceded in death by her son Earl Sheeder, Jr. her sister Rita McAdams and her brother Edward Kivitz.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Friday, January 3rd at 10AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Avenue, Lansdale, PA. 19446 where the family will receive friends Friday from 9 to 10AM. Interment Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Penndel. Arrangements by Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, Lansdale.

  2. We loved Elizabeth here at the center. Some of the staff even called her “mom mom”. She was such a kind, dear lady and will be missed dearly here. I will never forget the portrait she made of Abraham Lincoln. It was exceptional!
