Patricia D. Paulukonis-9/1/13

Patricia D. (nee. Peoples) Paulukonis, age 81, of North Wales died Sunday, September 1, 2013 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  She had been in failing health.  She is survived by her loving husband John J. Paulukonis, Sr.  Born and raised in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Arnold Peoples. Before moving to North Wales in 1970, she had also lived in Trevose.  Mrs. Paulukonis graduated from Misericordia Nursing School and went on to a long career as a passionate and devoted nurse at Graduate Hospital, Holy Redeemer Hospital, Sacred Heart Hospital and Ford-Visteon. As a longtime member of St. Stanislaus Church she was an active member of the church choir. She was an avid Flyers fan and had a lifelong love of reading.  Above all else she was devoted to her family.  In addition to her husband she is survived by her 6 beloved children; John J. Paulukonis, Jr., and his wife Paula of Lansdale, Patti Aylward and her husband Tim of Hawaii, Terri Dungee and her husband Dave, Suzie Paulukonis, Barbara Bond and her husband Bob and Joyce Batcher and her husband Tim all of North Wales, 2 brothers; Robert (Ellen) and Francis (Beverly) Peoples, a sister Betty McDonald, 8 Granchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her brother Buddy Peoples.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday evening, September 6, 2013 from 7 to 9 PM., at the Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main St., Lansdale, and a 2nd viewing Saturday morning, September 7, 2013 from 9 to 10 AM., at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 AM.  Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust St., Philadelphia, PA. 19103 (please include contact information) or online at www.cancer.org.  Condolences can be left at www.simcoxmcilvainefuneralhome.com.
