Robert P. Gallo, age 81, of Lansdale died Sunday, July 8th in the emergency room at Abington Health Lansdale Hospital.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph and Bettina Revella Gallo. He has lived in Lansdale for 10 years and had previously lived in Chalfont.
Mr. Gallo served in the US Army stateside following WW2.
He loved cars and was the retired owner of Bob’s Auto Sales in Langhorne and during his career had also sold cars at various car dealerships including McCafferty Ford.
Mr. Gallo was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lansdale.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 61 years, Florence J. Pescrille Gallo and three devoted daughters Diane McElhinney of North Wales, Jane Racik of Lansdale and her fiance Leo Weed and Susanne LaRocca and her husband Michael of Horsham; six grandchildren Faith, Mary Kate, Jillian, Brandon, Michael and Sophia and a great great granddaughter Raina. He is also survived by a brother Richard Gallo of Southampton and a sister Josephine Preston of Penndel.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Patrick and Ronald Gallo.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday, July 12th from 9:30 to 10:45AM at the Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main Street in Lansdale and to attend his Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11AM at St. Stanislaus Church, Lansdale. Interment St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
