Paul J. Peroni, Sr.

Paul J. Peroni, Sr., age 85, of Lansdale, formerly of Conshohocken died Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Abington Health Lansdale Hospital. After a short illness he died in the presence of his loving family.

Mr. Peroni was the beloved husband of 59 years of Nicolina DeDominicis Peroni. Born in Minersville, Pa, he was the son of the late Dominic and Ida Galasso Peroni. His father Dominic passed away when he was 2 and he was raised by Nazzareno Delmoro.

Along with his brother Nicholas he was the owner and operator of the New Britain Inn and also worked as a longtime time maintenance man at St. Mary Manor Nursing Home.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed gardening, trips to Italy and Navy reunions. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren. Mr. Peroni served his country honorably with the US Navy during WWII and participated in the Battle of Okinawa.

He was a member of St. Stanislaus Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are 3 loving sons Dominic J. Peroni of Rochester, NY, Anthony P. Peroni and his wife Jennifer of Willow Grove and Paul J. Peroni and his wife Tamra of York, PA, one loving daughter Joanne M. Berrios and her husband Jorge of Souderton, brothers Nicholas, Armondo, and Sandy, a sister Phyllis Godfrey, nine granchildren and one great grandchild as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Bruno.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 11 AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 51 Lansdale Ave, Lansdale, PA. 19446, where the family will recieve friends from 9:30 to 10:45 Thursday morning before Mass. Interment Calvary Cemetery, W. Conshohocken. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Mr. Peroni’s name to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 897, Hershey, PA. 17033 or St. Stanislaus Church (address above).
