David J. Schooley, Sr

David J. Schooley, Sr., age 72, of North Wales died Nov. 24th at his residence. He had been in failing health.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Earl B. and Florence Paynter Schooley.
He graduated from Lincoln High School in Philadelphia.
Mr. Schooley served in the US Army and also in the US Navy on board the USS Murray.
He was a production supervisor with RJM in Philadelphia and Taratate in Bensalem.
Mr. Schooley was a member of Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery Twp.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing pool with his brothers.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 50 years Carmella C. Grosso Schooley; his son David J. Schooley, Jr. of North Wales and sisters Kristen Howard and her husband Paul of Warrington and Kimberly Szabo and her husband David of Hatfield; two grandchildren Madeline Howard and Shelby Szabo.
He was one of 21 brothers and sisters including Paul, Edna, and Peggy and his late brothers Russell, Robert, Raymond, Richard, Rodman, John, Roy, Ronnie, Ralph and Rowland and his late sisters  Jean, Ruth, Dolores, Elsie, Joan, and Catherine.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9PM and Thursday morning from 8:30 to 9:15AM at the Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, 532 E. Main St., Lansdale, PA. 19446 and to attend his Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at 10AM at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church, 1325 Upper State Rd., North Wales, PA. 19454 (between Horsham and County Line Rds). Interment St. John Neumann Cem.
For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David’s name to the Lung Transplant Unit at the Hospital of the Univ. of Pennsylvania, 34th and Spruce Sts., Phila, PA. 19104 would be preferred.
